DPP Readiness & Information Modeling

Digital product passport
Data Modeling

From existing product data to a workable DPP: Data Graphs analyzes data, systems, and regulatory requirements and develops a scalable information model for your digital product passport.

The digital product passport does not start with a QR code, but with the right data and an information model that integrates regulatory requirements, existing systems, and business processes.

Data Graphs helps companies assess their DPP readiness and establish a solid foundation for implementation. Together, we identify the relevant product, material, component, supplier, and regulatory data and analyze where this data currently resides in ERP, PIM, PLM, and MDM systems, documents, or other data sources.

Based on this, we are developing a shared information model for the digital product passport. Using Data Graphs’ knowledge graph technology, data, relationships, reference data, and regulatory requirements can be linked together without having to replace existing core systems.

In doing so, we take into account the requirements of the ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation), relevant GS1 standards, and existing data models. The information model is structured in such a way that it not only maps a single DPP requirement but can also serve as a foundation for different product groups, markets, and future requirements.

This makes it possible to address a wide range of DPP requirements across numerous product groups and industries, including batteries, textiles, construction products, electronics, steel, aluminum, and tires, as well as other product categories with current and future DPP requirements.

The result is a concrete foundation for DPP data and architecture: What information is needed? Where does it come from? How is it linked together? What gaps exist? And how can the required data then be integrated, validated, and made available for a scalable digital product passport?

This service is particularly well-suited for companies that want to prepare their product data, system landscape, and regulatory requirements for a scalable DPP implementation.
